As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility - Access Control in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome team members and visitors, verify credentials, support access control, and conduct screenings and inspections that help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, complete routine patrols, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leadership while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at designated entry points, including verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing individuals to the proper check-in and/or staging areas.
• Conduct inspections of packages, bags, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, documenting findings and reporting unusual items or activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing reports and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, dock and yard areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
