Security Officer - Routine Patrol Rounds

As a Security Officer - Routine Patrol Rounds in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badge checks, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors and delivery drivers; maintain entry logs and direct traffic flow as needed.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports and communicate issues to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision and/or emergency services when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
