THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a strategic AI/ML Models and Emu/Simulation Lead who is passionate about improving the software stack readiness and exploring AI models. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should be passionate about AI/ML engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution from both SW and HW perspectives. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different architect engineers and teams across AMD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with AMD's architect specialists toinfluence & improve future productdesigns
  • Apply a data-driven and structured approach to issue analysis and optimization efforts
  • Contribute to AMD software readiness with cutting edge innovations, algorithms ,models and kernels
  • Drive and lead AI/ML software shift left efforts with Function Model/Architecture Model Simulation and Emulation
  • Explore next gen AI/ML models and evaluate them simulations.
  • Debug, analyze, resolve issues andexplore more efficient alternatives, influence design enhancements for next-gen models on HW and SW.
  • Develop technical relationships with peers and partners

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong object-oriented programming background, proficiency Python and C/C++ preferred
  • Experience with modern concurrent AI/ML programming and threading APIson Windows/Linux operating system development
  • Direct experience with State of the art AI/ML training and inference models and frameworks with performance analysis and tunning
  • Working knowledge with function model and architecture model in simulation is preferred
  • Familiar with GPU/TPU/CPU SOC architectures including SIMD/SIMT/Parallel Processing models, Cache/ Memoryhierarchy subsystem
  • Knowledge of cluster and multi-node systems, AI/ML performance analysis, and SW simulation and emulation is a valuable asset
  • Open-minded and self-motivated to explore new technologies, models and alternatives to solution and issues
  • Effective communication, issue analysis andproblem-solving skills
  • Motivating leader with good interpersonal skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
