Project Controls Specialist - Heavy Civil Construction

We're looking for a Project Controls Specialist who thrives in a team-driven environment and wants to play a key role in delivering large-scale highway and transportation projects ($10M-$250M). You won't just process paperwork - you'll help protect margins, drive accuracy, and support project success from start to finish.

You'll partner directly with Project Managers and Division leadership to ensure projects stay financially strong, compliant, and organized. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact performance and outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Support monthly cost projections, job costing, and financial reporting
• Review invoices, subcontractor pay apps, and lien releases for accuracy
• Upload and track billings, change orders, and documentation in Viewpoint
• Maintain organized, audit-ready project files and schedules
• Participate in monthly Project Review Meetings and help drive clarity around performance

What Sets You Apart

• Construction project accounting experience (heavy civil, industrial, or complex commercial preferred)
• Strong understanding of cost tracking, billing cycles, and documentation controls
• Experience with Viewpoint, B2W, or similar project systems
• High ownership mentality - you care about accuracy and outcomes

• Good tenure and work history

Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of project accounting experience for construction
