Medical Assistant - OBGYN - Days $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS The Henry Ford Macomb Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) Program aims to train the Ob/Gyn generalist with specific educational experiences geared toward the development of competence in the provision of ambulatory primary health care for women. The Henry Ford Macomb Medical Office Pavilion provides easy access to many health services, including physician specialty offices, a retail pharmacy, an outpatient testing center, conference facilities and more. The pavilion is connected to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and includes dedicated parking in front of its entrance, facing 19 Mile Road. GENERAL SUMMARY: Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. These duties may include but are not limited to:
SHIFT DETAILS: Monday and Wednesday 8:30am-12pm Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 1-5pm LOCATION: 16151 19 Mile Road Clinton Township, MI 48038 STATUS: Full Time, 40 hours per week EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Additional Requirements: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientation. Additional Information
