The Henry Ford Macomb Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) Program aims to train the Ob/Gyn generalist with specific educational experiences geared toward the development of competence in the provision of ambulatory primary health care for women.

The Henry Ford Macomb Medical Office Pavilion provides easy access to many health services, including physician specialty offices, a retail pharmacy, an outpatient testing center, conference facilities and more. The pavilion is connected to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and includes dedicated parking in front of its entrance, facing 19 Mile Road.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. These duties may include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and escorting patients to the exam room.
• Obtaining medical histories.
• The measurement and recording of vital signs.
• Preparing patients for an examination/procedure.
• Assisting the provider during the examination/procedure.

SHIFT DETAILS: Monday and Wednesday 8:30am-12pm Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 1-5pm

LOCATION: 16151 19 Mile Road Clinton Township, MI 48038

STATUS: Full Time, 40 hours per week

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.
