Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of assigned data center and network infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance. This role manages project staff, budgets, customer relationships, and process improvements to achieve project goals efficiently. The Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle, including planning, procurement, execution, reporting, and closeout, while supporting business growth and maintaining alignment with organizational objectives. Projects may range from 2 to 12 months in duration and require travel to various job sites, with home rotation approximately every 90 days.

Job Responsibilities




  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, including presales support, planning, execution, closeout, and post-installation activities.



  • Manage project budgets and P&L performance to ensure financial targets are achieved.



  • Lead, mentor, and drive productivity among superintendents, field leads, and project teams.



  • Monitor and report project progress related to safety, quality, schedule, and cost to senior leadership.



  • Review and interpret design prints to ensure scope alignment and execution accuracy.



  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and customer teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.



  • Manage change control processes and secure required change orders.



  • Maintain accurate project documentation, financial tracking, invoicing, and reporting systems.



  • Conduct regular reviews of budgets, project metrics, accounts receivable, and billing schedules.



  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and additional service offerings within existing and new client relationships.



  • Travel to new project sites as scopes are completed.




Job Requirements




  • Ability to read and interpret construction and design drawings.



  • Ability to manage project financials, including P&L oversight.



  • Ability to lead and inspire field teams in fast-paced environments.



  • Ability to present project updates and performance metrics to leadership.



  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites, including Phoenix, Greater Southwest region, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Buffalo, Sterling, and Indiana.



  • Experience working in colocation and new construction data center environments.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.



  • Experience with Bluebeam preferred.



  • Experience with Power BI preferred.



  • Familiarity with OTDR testing and ability to interpret results preferred.



  • Understanding of fiber cleaning techniques required.



  • Fiber splicing experience strongly preferred.



  • Ability to stand and walk active construction job sites.




Education




  • Associate or bachelor degree preferred.



  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.



  • RCDD certification preferred but not required.




Work Experience




  • 5 to 10 years of project management experience required.



  • Prior experience managing technical infrastructure, fiber, or data center projects required.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)




  • Travel-based role supporting projects across multiple U.S. locations.



  • Project durations may range from 2 to 4 months, with some extending to 6 to 12 months.



  • Typical schedules may include Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on project requirements.



  • Per diem provided at $50 per day.
