Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Caledonia, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License and a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds and perimeter areas, monitoring for unusual activity and/or policy violations that may help to deter incidents.
• Control access at gates, entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification, processing visitors, logging vehicles and/or packages and coordinating with site contacts as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, scene assessment and timely notification to Allied Universal supervision and/or local responders.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, document security-related events and/or hazards, and handle authorized equipment and firearms in accordance with training, licensing and post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
