National Grid is hiring a Senior Manager (Field Safety), Health, Safety and Wellbeing for Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to Waltham, MA. Job Purpose
As the Major Projects Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of field Safety Professionals, driving the wider team towards a generative safety culture, and implementing the department safety strategies and initiatives. You will provide leadership and clear direction to the team that ensures consistent ways of working and ensuring first line safety compliance across all Major projects which include Transmission, Substation, D-Line, and Civil construction. This includes ensuring field compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations, industry standards, and company safety policies. This role will work closely with project teams to ensure proper Safety planning during the development of projects and ensure compliance against plan during execution. The position will oversee a team supporting construction projects across the New England region. Key Accountabilities
* Provide leadership, technical expertise, process and procedure interpretation, and direction to a team of field Safety Professionals to ensure that high standards of safety and compliance are consistently followed. * Develop and present safety briefings and prepare material for safety meetings. Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related technical field or 5+ years of related work experience preferred. More Information Salary - $145,000 - $170,000 This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
