Short Description Essential duties and responsibilities: Performs daily health assessments. Blood collections, Injections, peripheral IV-line insertion, endotracheal intubation, sample preparation of swine. Clinical treatments pertaining to laboratory animals. Maintains health, research and surgical record with investigative staff on research projects, operates anesthetic machine, performs swine anesthesia, provides minor surgical assistance as needed, perioperative and post-operative record keeping. Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/ university with course work related to biomedical research or four (4) years related experience in lieu of degree. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, good attention to detail. Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds. Experience Required Experience in handling and procedures of laboratory swine and rodents. Education Requirements Baccalaureate degree or four (4) years related experience in lieu of degree. License/Certification Requirements Veterinary technician (CVT) and AALAS certifications at the Animal Technician (LAT) level is preffered. Hourly Rate Min $22
Hourly Rate Max $35
