this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care
for our patients. You will offer guidance to team members by supervising
nursing interventions and assigning related tasks. You will also assess
patient, family and staff learning needs, deliver appropriate clinical
education and promote effective working relationships. This involves
collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to
develop and implement a care plan, including providing detailed care
instructions.

Contribute to the delivery of Magnet designated nursing
excellence. You can do all this and more with our Radiation Oncology and
Brachytherapy department at UCLA Health. In this exciting and rewarding
position, you will provide exceptional nursing care for our patients. You will
guide team members by supervising nursing interventions and assigning related
tasks.

In this role, you will be providing coverage for clinical
services related to radiation therapy, brachytherapy and independent
prioritization of patient care activities for all Radiation Oncology clinics as
assigned. You will assist with the coordination of patient care and delivery in
the Radiation Oncology Department. You will also be providing directions and
assistance to clinic staff while promoting quality and cost-effective patient
care, including patient assessment, treatment and education.

Salary Range: $70.59 to $106.80 Hourly

Qualifications

  • BSN or MSN -
    required
  • Current California RN license -
    required
  • ACLS, and BLS from the
    American Red Cross or American Heart Association - required
  • At least 6 months of RN experience -
    required
  • At least 2 years of oncology
    experience - preferred
  • At least 2 years of recent med/surg
    experience - preferred
  • ICU/ER/PACU experience - preferred
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
    certificate - preferred
  • Skill in implementing appropriate
    nursing interventions on a consistent basis
  • Ability to perform historical,
    physical and behavioral patient assessments
  • Ability to develop and implement and
    evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
  • Must be able to lift push, pull,
    lift, and carry up to 35 lbs. Must use correct body mechanics and comply
    with the Safe Patient Handling and Movement Plan HS 8017
  • Official Transcripts and/or original
    diploma from a registered nursing program must be provided upon hire
