  • Base Pay Range:$52,666 to $83,179 per year based on experience.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION
  1. Supervise staff engaged in the activities of purchasing, stocking, delivery, and organization of materials in support of Engineering Services.
  2. Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling, including labeling, stocking, and organizing stock items on shelving. Work closely with inventory control specialists in all aspects of warehouse/distribution functions.
  3. Research vendor, pricing, and manufacturer information; input all required data to initiate requisitions and purchase orders. Participate in the evaluation of various materials. Arrange demonstrations of new products.
  4. Review daily inventory activity; maintain accurate inventory master files, manufacturer and catalog numbers, minimums, and material descriptions. Remain current on new and obsolete materials. Maintain adequate levels of inventory stock. Review receiving records; maintain receiving records on file until the invoice is received. Reconcile invoices with correct receiving records and review monthly budget reports.
  5. Interview, select, train, evaluate, and discipline Engineering Services Procurement Staff. Develop necessary training programs and establish team expectations to achieve efficiency, continuity, and high performance.
  6. Instruct and advise staff on changes to policies, procedures, or working standards through individual counsel and departmental meetings.
  7. Represent the department and participate in appropriate hospital committees.
  8. Perform related duties as required, which may involve providing direct assistance in material handling activities.
  9. Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care.
  10. Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes.
  11. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Chauffeur driver license; class E or higher for Missouri residents.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five (5) years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or receiving.
  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
