Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced professional to support the Inspection, Maintenance and Blanket Project Management team. The successful candidate will leverage the power of data with technical and analytical expertise to manage a high volume of blanket funding projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Collect and analyze data for a high volume of blanket funding projects, identifying key themes and trends including but not limited to: Volume, cost, scheduling, estimates, etc.
  • Leverage data to monitor and update funding project forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional group of stakeholders to provide analytics for budgeting purposes and inform solutions to complex fiscal challenges.
  • Perform complex data analytics functions including regression analysis, variance analysis and visualization.
  • Work with stakeholders to influence the establishment of controls, key strategies and financial governance.
  • Deliver reliable and timely reports to advise decision-making at the portfolio level and to senior leadership.
  • Monitor a high volume of blanket projects, ensuring timely progression through the workflow and working with project stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and provide visibility to high priority projects, monitoring them throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Program management, project management, data/cost analysis, accounting, finance, design, scheduling or operations.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in one of the above or related fields. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with stakeholders to solve problems in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in STORMS, SAP, P6 and PowerPlan preferred.
  • Ability to travel across Upstate NY as needed.

Salary

$105,000 - $124,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
