Job Description




As a Security Officer - Gated Community in Trabuco Canyon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a residential community access control post, you will help manage entry and exit by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and keeping clear visitor and incident logs. You will remain visible at the gatehouse, communicate professionally with residents and guests, and support a welcoming environment while helping to deter security-related issues through attentive observation and teamwork, always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at community access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor passes as directed, and documenting entries in logs and/or electronic systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or local emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, amenities, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, access activity, and incidents, and communicate security-related information to property management and/or designated representatives per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
