Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Screening Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will stay highly visible, perform routine rounds in your assigned area, and document security-related activity to support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors using walkthrough metal detectors, hand wands, X-ray equipment, and visual inspections of permitted items per post orders.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, directing foot traffic to appropriate checkpoints, and documenting entries, refusals, and prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including activating notifications, requesting assistance, and completing required incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entrances, and nearby perimeter points as assigned, watching for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
