Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Professional Coding Educator with extensive coding experience and a passion for teaching. This role develops and delivers educational programs to ensure coders and healthcare professionals are proficient in current industry standards.



  • Curriculum Development: Create and update educational content and materials, incorporating coding best practices and industry trends.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Audit coders' work, review documentation, provide feedback, and track performance to ensure accuracy and proficiency.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with coding standards and share insights to enhance programs.
  • Collaboration: Partner with leadership, clinical staff, and industry professionals to deliver effective, relevant training and support program improvement initiatives.



Qualifications:



Education:



  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years related experience in Health Information Management, Medical Coding Auditing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Current certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, COC) required.



Experience:



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding auditing strongly preferred.
  • Previous teaching, auditing, or training experience highly preferred.
  • Specialty Certifications (e.g., CPMA, CIRCC, CDEO, CEMC, CGIC, CPEDC, RHIA, RHIT) highly preferred.


Salary Range: Minimum 27.85/hour - Maximum 44.57/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
