Primary Function

Installation & Repair

  • Install, service, and repair industrial door systems including:

    • Sectional doors

    • Rolling steel doors

    • Fire-rated doors

    • High-speed doors

    • Fabric doors

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including:

    • Broken torsion springs

    • Frayed or damaged cables

    • Faulty rollers and tracks

    • Malfunctioning motor operators and control systems

Preventative Maintenance

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance

  • Lubricate moving components

  • Adjust door tension and alignment

  • Ensure systems meet OSHA safety standards

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with hand and power tools

  • Ability to operate welding equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

  • Basic knowledge of:

    • Low-voltage electrical wiring

    • Motor controls

    • Hydraulic systems

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • AAADM (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers) certification preferred

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the commercial door industry

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active Defense Bio-Metric Identification (DBIDS) Badge, which requires a favorable Federal, State, and local background check

Working Environment

A fast-paced multi-tasking customer service-oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. Adaptability regarding schedule and task changes is necessary to accommodate changing priorities. Work performed in all weather conditions.
