Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will provide essential support to the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) HR Team, assisting with various administrative tasks and contributing to the smooth operation of HR processes. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for executing a range of HR responsibilities from a collaborative, customer-service-oriented perspective including but not limited to: This is being posted as a 75-100% FTE. Work hours generally scheduled Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm. This position is eligible for partial remote work or fully onsite. For partially remote, you will be required to be onsite Mondays, Tuesdays, and rotating Fridays. Remote work requires an approved remote work agreement (RWA). An RWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee. This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding. University of Wisconsin, Madison - School of Veterinary Medicine - Human Resources Compensation: -Minimum $25/hr, commensurate with experience and qualifications Required Qualifications:-2+ years experience in Human Resources or Administration -Strong organizational and communication skills -Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are essential, as this role involves close coordination with other services and sections within the hospital -Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications:-Workday experience highly preferred, including initiating business processes, running reports, and entering and maintaing accurate data -Knowledge and experience with visas, including J-1s, H-1Bs, TNs -Experience managing onboarding, including I-9s and background checks -HR experience in higher education -Advanced experience with Excel formulas and functions, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP Education:-High School Diploma required -Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred How to Apply:To begin the application process, click the "Apply" button.
