Job Description




As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol Post in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and prompt reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, alarms, and requests for assistance from staff, patients, and/or visitors.
  • Monitor and control access in accordance with site procedures, including checking credentials as directed, assisting with visitor direction, and supporting restricted-area controls.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation of incidents, patrol observations, and daily activities, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
