What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and alarms, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Monitor and help manage access points, after-hours entries, and key control activities per site procedures, and assist with crowd and traffic flow during peak periods and special events.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate status updates to leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
