We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As an Associate I, General Engineering supporting the MTO Team in Huntington, WV, a typical day will include:

  • Handle complex tasks and contribute to advanced projects using your expertise.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate new production materials, equipment, and technologies before mass production.

  • Complete manufacturing research and development to address production cost and quality issues, including conducting technical feasibility tests to ensure production efficiency.

  • Evaluate project capacity for production process design and development and implement standard manufacturing procedures.

  • Evaluate production processes to reduce costs and determine product quality standards.

  • Arrange equipment and tools to support production and select and communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery.

  • Engage with partner functions such as Research and Development, commercial, and quality.

  • Make significant decisions within your project area to influence outcomes.

  • Adhere to Good Practice regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training.

  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to organizational compliance.

  • Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

  • Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.

  • Responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization.

  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
