We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sourcing Manager, Transportation & Distribution supporting the MTO Team in Fort Worth, TX, a typical day will include:

• Oversee procurement for specific categories of goods and services, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers for efficient sourcing and delivery.

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate options based on cost, quality, and reliability.

• Manage the procurement process, including issuing Requests for Proposals, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and supplier consolidation.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and budgetary constraints.

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for various transportation modes (e.g., truckload, lessthan-truckload, rail, ocean, and air freight) and distribution (warehouse services, capital equipment, supplies, etc.), including the development of RFPs, supplier selection, and contract award processes.

• Negotiate contracts with transportation and distribution service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions, cost savings, and service level agreements.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Use data analytics skills to evaluate opportunities, identify trends, and support decision making processes.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including supply chain, finance, and operations teams, to align procurement strategies with business needs.

• Stay informed of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting supply chain and logistics.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

• 5 Years of Relevant Experience

• Worksite location: Onsite

• Travel: Up tp 25%
