These are the qualifications that matter.

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Experience in processing Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinating with vendors
• Proficiency using ERP systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data tracking, comparisons, basic analysis)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of inventory control and supply chain processes
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve order discrepancies
• High school diploma or equivalent required; business or supply chain coursework preferred

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and process Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure timely procurement of materials and services
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update transactions within the ERP system
• Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
• Coordinate with internal departments (production, warehouse, accounting, and management) to support operational needs
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to prevent shortages or overstock situations
• Compare vendor quotes and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules when applicable
• Track shipments and follow up on late or incorrect orders to ensure resolution
• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance for quality and reliability
• Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, receiving, or damaged goods
• Assist with cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for savings
• Prepare purchasing reports and maintain documentation for audits and recordkeeping
