Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Corporate Intern. As a Corporate Intern, you will work at Sunbelt Rentals on specific projects in order to gain valuable work experience.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Operational Excellence (OPEX) team at Sunbelt Rentals. This internship will primarily support our Market Service Operations (MSO) initiative, helping to enhance service delivery, optimize operational workflows, and drive measurable impact across our field operations.

As an OPEX intern, you will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to analyze operational data, pilot improvements, and support execution efforts in key markets. This is a high-visibility opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operational strategy, process improvement, and field implementation within a fast-paced, industry-leading company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support analysis of service operations performance across multiple markets (e.g., repair turnaround time, technician deployment, work order management).
  • Help design, test, and refine standard processes and best practices for Market Service Operations.
  • Assist in building tools, playbooks, and reporting dashboards to drive adoption and monitor impact.
  • Collaborate with field teams to gather feedback, troubleshoot challenges, and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare executive-ready materials summarizing findings, progress, and recommendations.
  • Work on special projects supporting broader Operational Excellence initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to interact effectively with frontline employees and senior leadership.
  • Self-starter mindset with high ownership and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Skilled in creating process flows
  • Experience managing projects (PM experience)
  • Familiarity with AI and Copilot tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.

Base Pay Range: $20.00 - 27.50

You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following paid time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement):

  • 12-25 vacation days depending on years of service
