What We Need:
We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.
The Senior Designer is responsible for providing design, specification, and rendering services to our internal and external customers and trade partners. This role will apply product knowledge and creative expertise to provide deliverables.
What You Will Do:
  • Create, recommend, and specify projects using custom products within the HNI portfolio.
  • Provide consultative selling support to assist field sales and trade partners on product recommendations.
  • Host specification training to trade partner dealer designers. Collaborate on agenda and learning content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, trade partners, end users, and design firms on new and custom product designer.
  • Assist and review the price book and specification guide creation with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide in-person or virtual client consultation, live design sessions, or installation support.
  • Lead and implement, processes, perform needs analysis, and assist dealers on design processes and best practices.
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
What You Have:
  • Associate degree in interior design, architecture, or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in space planning, furniture specification, or product/project management required.
  • NCIDQ certification required for associate degree candidates; NCIDQ certification preferred for bachelor's degree candidates.
  • Proficiency with CET Designer and/or 2020 preferred.
