Advanced Engineering Technician

ACARA Solutions and our client in McLeansville, NC have a contract-to-hire position available

Here's what you'd do:

• Engineering & Technical Support Experience

  • Supported engineering teams by machining precision components used in prototype and development builds.

  • Assisted with machine setup and process adjustments to support new product development and low-volume production runs.

  • Interpreted engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to produce prototype and test components.

  • Collaborated with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and improve part quality.

  • Performed inspection and measurement of machined components to verify conformance to engineering specifications

  • Machining Equipment

    • Mori Seiki CNC Lathes (SL Series)

    • YASDA 5-Axis Vertical Mills

    • HAAS ST40 CNC Lathe

    • HAAS EC1600 Horizontal Mill

    • Fanuc Drillmate

    • Mazak Super Quadrex 200

    • Nakamura-Tome CNC Lathes

    • Tsune TK5C Series Saw Systems

• Associate's Degree with 3 years of experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting engineering activities in electro-mechanical systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams

• Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools
• Ability to fabricate complex hardware
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory
• Advance machining capabilities using manual as well as CNC-controlled equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th and 5th Axis, Lathes)
• Ability to use SolidWorks or other CAM software proficiently
• Ability to communicate with peers and engineering to aid in design concepts.
• Ability to use GD&T
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauge, etc.

Additional Information :

• Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance
• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

• Ability to work standing for extended periods of time
