Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Arrestee Transport in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls with clear communication and professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government location, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed patrol duties to help to deter unauthorized activity, including regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or local law enforcement as required.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, verifying authorization, checking credentials, and directing personnel and visitors according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and required documentation, and communicate observations and status updates to supervision per established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2+ years' law enforcement and/or military police and/or corrections experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
