Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Driver Route Patrol in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization at entry points, monitoring visitor and contractor movement per site policy, and documenting entries and exits as required.
  • Complete required documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and maintenance or condition observations, and communicate findings to site leadership per established reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
