As a Security Officer - Full-Time Screening Guard in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor key access points, screen visitors and deliveries, verify credentials, and support site procedures that help reduce security-related incidents. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document activity, and communicate clearly with operations teams and drivers. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and drivers at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying access authorization, and monitoring entry and exit for unusual activity.
• Conduct screening processes such as package and bag inspections and use of screening equipment as required by post orders, while maintaining a professional, respectful presence that may help to deter unauthorized items and/or access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, notifying site contacts, and escalating per site-specific protocols.
• Complete required logs and reports such as access records, incident reports, and shift activity notes, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
