ABOUT THE ROLE

The Precast Detailer is responsible for developing detailed shop drawings and production documents for precast concrete systems using Revit and AutoCAD. This role supports the design and engineering team by producing accurate models, erection drawings, and shop tickets that ensure components are built and installed to specification. Working closely with senior drafters and engineers, this position plays a key role in translating design intent into constructible precast products.

Salary range $21.50-$26.50/Hour Based on location and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Prepare detailed shop drawings and construction documents for precast projects
  • Develop 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
  • Create, manage, and store drawings in electronic document systems
  • Ensure all drawings meet design specifications and company standards
  • Support development of shop tickets, cut sheets, and production documentation
  • Coordinate with senior drafters and engineers on design intent and revisions
  • Maintain project schedules and meet established drawing deadlines
  • Update and revise drawings based on project changes and feedback
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all detailing work
  • Support continuous improvement of drafting and detailing processes


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented drafting professional who enjoys translating engineering concepts into precise, buildable drawings. They are technically skilled in Revit and AutoCAD, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production-driven environment. This individual is collaborative, eager to learn company standards, and committed to producing accurate, high-quality detailing work that supports successful project execution.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • Certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent drafting experience required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit (BIM) required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and structural drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu or similar review software preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple project priorities
  • Willingness to learn company-specific detailing standards
  • Experience in precast or concrete construction industry is a plus


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
