Lead Low Voltage Technician - Structured Cabling
Charlotte, NC Join Next Level Technician as a Lead Low Voltage Technician in Charlotte, NC! Responsibilities Lead and coordinate small crews of technicians on commercial low voltage installations Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling Install and terminate fiber optic cabling (preferred) Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar certification testers Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, ladder rack, and pathway systems Support MDF/IDF buildouts and telecom room installations Read and interpret blueprints, system drawings, and project layouts Communicate with project managers and ensure projects stay on schedule Maintain jobsite safety standards and installation quality Assist with troubleshooting low voltage systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, and AV systems Requirements 3+ years of commercial low voltage or structured cabling experience Previous experience leading crews or coordinating technicians preferred Strong experience installing and terminating CAT5e/CAT6 cabling Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and cable schedules Experience installing cable tray, ladder rack, or conduit pathways a plus Reliable transportation and leadership skills Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) Preferred Qualifications Fiber optic installation or termination experience BICSI certification a plus OSHA or lift certifications Experience working on large commercial projects, data centers, hospitals, or industrial sites Why Work with Next Level Technician in Charlotte, NC?
