Summary: Coordinate and schedule work across the shop floor. Ensuring Safety practices and conditions are in place, inspects and verifies Quality of work, directs and provides technical guidance to the personnel reporting to him/her.

THIS IS A DAY SHIFT POSITION

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety requirements are observed conditions and actions
• Share Safety incidents, HR information and other relevant communication to the hourly personnel
• Verify that quality of work matches the requirements established by Engineering / Customers
• Schedule shop activities and keep ERP system updated
• Establish a constant communication with Engineering in regard to jobs quality, progress, components, etc
• Provide technical support and training to the personnel reporting to him/her
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings
• Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
• If the job requires it work side by side with the direct personnel to accomplish desired outcomes

Qualifications

• High School education
• Formal education is desirable but not required if experience level, as determined by Voith US management offsets this requirement
• 2 years of supervisory experience

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
