What to Expect

Consider before submitting an application:

This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue throughsummerterm (endingapproximately August 2026or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships.Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

As a Cybersecurity Compliance Intern, you'll support the team in driving global cybersecurity strategies, processes, and product certifications. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, challenge norms, explore new technologies, and contribute to elevating cybersecurity standards-ideal for students passionate about cybersecurity.

Specifically, you'll assist the compliance team in cybersecurity initiatives, support product compliance plans, and collaborate with enterprise and external stakeholders under guidance.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in working with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) and Notified Bodies (NB) to support enterprise and product-level cybersecurity compliance efforts

  • Help prepare compliance statements and technical documents to ensure cybersecurity requirements are documented globally

  • Support the development and maintenance of test procedures and tools for product homologation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to learn about designing, building, and validating system and product security

  • Aid in designing test methodologies to identify end-to-end cyber vulnerabilities and compliance requirements

  • Contribute to cybersecurity design reviews and architectural discussions

  • Participate in team discussions on committee/trade groups influencing cybersecurity regulations


What You'll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations, such as NIST-CSF, RED, CRA, NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 (coursework or self-study experience)

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, e.g., IEC 62443 series, UL 2900-1/2-2, ETSI EN 303 645 (through academics or projects); certification pursuits encouraged

  • Exposure to cybersecurity vulnerability scanning tools via labs or personal projects

  • Foundational knowledge of operating systems and networking (Windows, Unix/Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP)

  • Interest in product certification processes like CE and UL

  • Basic programming and scripting skills, such as Python

  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to navigate/interpret standards with guidance

  • Hands-on experience with software components or systems through coursework, projects, or internships

    Expected Compensation
    $20.00 - $50.00/hour + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
