Tesla Energy is looking for an individual who loves solving problems to join the team. If you are an intellectually curious accountant, and have a strong skillset of querying, manipulating, dashboarding and analyzing data, join us. The Cost Accountant, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Accounting for Tesla Energy, will interface with operatives and leaders across several of Tesla Energy's product offerings, and will work with multiple departments, including but not limited to manufacturing, Installation Operations and Supply Chain.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for creating/maintaining several analytical tools used by accounting, finance and manufacturing/installations
- Validate and analyze the cost of goods sold of several of Tesla's product offerings as part of month-end close
- Maintain phenomenal relationships with business partners and accounting peers to address information reporting needs. Prepare accounting schedules routinely and as requested for internal and external reporting requirements
- Ensure process integrity while working with cross-functional peers to resolve process issues timely and effectively
What You'll Bring

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience
- CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
- 3+ years of experience in AccountingorFinancepreferably in a manufacturing environment with evidence of exceptional ability
- Demonstrated mastery of ability to design/create modelsbased onoperational & financial data for management(Experience in SQL and Power Query is preferred)
- Strong ability to assess problems to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem

Expected Compensation
$76,000 - $132,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
