About the Role

Our beauty client, a globally recognized leader in the consumer goods industry, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Product Development Coordinator to support the end-to-end product creation process. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative product launches while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

In this role, you will serve as a critical partner to the Product Development team-ensuring projects stay on track, resources are well-managed, and communication flows seamlessly across cross-functional stakeholders. You'll play a key role in bringing new products to life from concept through launch.

Key Responsibilities


Product Development & Project Coordination

  • Support the execution of product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, milestones, and approved standards
  • Manage product reformulations and track progress across development stages
  • Develop proposals for new product concepts and range extensions


Organization & Sample Management

  • Maintain and organize development resources, files, and communications for all active and archived projects
  • Build and manage a comprehensive library of master samples and competitive benchmarks
  • Coordinate sample requests and distribution across cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, etc.)


Testing & Feedback Coordination

  • Organize product testing groups and collect structured feedback to inform development decisions
  • Evaluate and support approval of initial production batches
  • Formulate claims testing proposals based on competitive analysis and product positioning


Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between development managers and external suppliers, ensuring clear communication and follow-through
  • Coordinate meetings with vendors and support engagement during key milestones and industry events
  • Source and ship benchmark products to suppliers for evaluation


Operational & Administrative Support

  • Track shipments, manage incoming/outgoing product flow, and support daily operational needs of the development team
  • Gather product assets (visuals, specs, claims) to support marketing presentations and launch readiness
  • Generate new launch reports and maintain documentation to support product lifecycle visibility


Qualifications



  • 2+ years of experience in an office or product development environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with a team-first mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs as needed


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in product development, preferably within beauty, CPG, or retail
  • Familiarity with product aesthetics, including color evaluation and visual quality standards
  • Social media awareness and understanding of consumer trends
  • Basic design skills (Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools)
