Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing complex scheduling functions for all crewmember training events to ensure Atlas operational needs and FAA compliance are met. Manages and prioritizes the scheduling workflow for multiple fleets, training types, and locations while supporting departmental initiatives to optimize training resources. Acts as a lead resource for the scheduling team in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and ensuring schedule accuracy in the AIMS Training Management System.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Assists in managing daily training scheduling operations, ensuring the accurate and timely assignment of all crewmember training events in AIMS in full compliance with company policy and FAA regulations.
  • Handles high-priority and complex scheduling situations, including last-minute changes, simulator outages, and instructor/trainee availability issues.
  • Conducts schedule audits to verify correct curriculum assignment, prerequisite completion, and adherence to recurrent, upgrade, transition, and requalification timelines.
  • Collaborates with Training Records, AtlasU, Training Center Operation, Atlas Air Instructors, and other cross-functional departments to resolve scheduling conflicts and confirm training event readiness.
  • Maintains and updates AIMS crew categories, designations, and training event codes to ensure accurate crewmember status and eligibility records.
  • Analyzes training demand and availability, recommending adjustments to maximize simulator, classroom, and instructor utilization.
  • Oversees specialized scheduling needs, including recurrent training cycles, reentry processes for withdrawn trainees, and Special Tracking Program assignments.
  • Assists Training Scheduling leadership in instructor and trainee forecasting.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and primary escalation point for the scheduling team, providing guidance and solutions for complex scheduling scenarios.
  • Monitors and documents schedule changes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and reporting integrity.
  • Contributes to the creation, revision, and implementation of new Training Scheduling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists with developing and administering new hire and recurrent training for Training Scheduling personnel.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in training scheduling, crew scheduling, or related operational planning function within an airline or aviation training environment.
  • Previous experience with AIMS Training Management System or equivalent scheduling/crew management systems required.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements related to training, qualification, and currency for flight crewmembers.
  • Proficiency in scheduling systems, database management, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze training demand and optimize resource allocation across simulators, classrooms, and instructors.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.
