Job Description - Grievance & Appeals Coordinator (Remote, CA) Position Purpose: Analyze and resolve verbal and written claims and authorization appeals from providers, while pursuing resolution of formal grievances from members. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and accurate handling of complaints and appeals. Key Responsibilities * Gather, analyze, and report verbal and written member and provider complaints, grievances, and appeals. * Prepare professional response letters for member and provider grievances and appeals. * Maintain organized files on individual appeals and grievances. * Coordinate the Grievance and Appeals Committee as needed. * Support pay-for-performance programs through data entry, tracking, organizing, and research. * Assist with HEDIS production functions, including data entry, provider outreach, and claims research. * Manage large volumes of documents, including copying, faxing, scanning, and processing incoming mail. Education & Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred. * Minimum 2 years of grievance, appeals, claims, or related managed care experience. * Strong oral, written, and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Must be located in California. * Preferred candidates within a 30-mile radius of hubs in Woodland Hills or Natomas. * Previous experience with the organization preferred. Entry-level experience acceptable with relevant experience in claims and Appeals * healthcare or managed care. Work Environmet * Remote role with occasional requirements to be near designated hubs. * High-volume document and case management environment requiring attention to detail and organizational skills. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
