The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) at our Prescott, Arizona campus. This embedded position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of teaching innovation, faculty support, and evidence-based educational practice.

Reporting to the Director of CTLE at the Prescott, Arizona campus, the Associate Director will work collaboratively with the CTLE team to advance instructional excellence across disciplines. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator and faculty developer with strong interpersonal, research, and project management skills.

Key Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities:

* Support faculty in enhancing instruction and pedagogical practices

* Provide faculty classroom observations and consultations for the improvement of teaching practice and performance

* Work closely with college deans and departments to support faculty teaching and learning

* Lead CTLE-specific programming and support

* Contribute to strategic CTLE initiatives

* Provide individualized faculty support and assessment of faculty performance

* Support instructional technology use as needed

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Demonstrate expertise in higher education pedagogy, instructional design and educational development.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate expertise in innovative and/or evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Experience in the effective use of instructional technologies.
