Overview

LMI is seeking a Technical Recruiter to support hiring across our platform and product engineering ecosystem, helping scale the teams building next generation digital solutions for government missions. This role will focus on recruiting deep technical talent across software engineering, full stack development, cloud platforms, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence supporting LMI's growing portfolio of mission-ready platforms and advanced analytics capabilities.

The successful recruiter will serve as a strategic talent advisor to engineering and product leaders, identifying and attracting world class technologists capable of building scalable platforms, delivering AI enabled capabilities, and accelerating mission outcomes for federal customers. This individual will operate in a fast paced, highly technical environment, partnering closely with engineering, product, and program leadership to develop proactive recruiting strategies and build pipelines of exceptional technical talent.

This is a hybrid role with weekly onsite requirements at our Tysons, VA HQ (3 days per week)

Responsibilities

The Technical Recruiter will operate in a challenging, high growth environment supporting hiring for platform engineering, product development, and advanced technology teams.

Responsibilities include:

    Partner with engineering leaders, product managers, and technical executives to develop and execute strategic hiring plans for critical technical roles.
  • Lead full lifecycle recruiting for highly technical positions including software engineers, platform engineers, data scientists, AI/ML engineers, cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and product technologists.
  • Build deep understanding of LMI's digital platforms, AI capabilities, and mission technology solutions in order to effectively position opportunities to top technical talent.
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies to identify passive candidates across software engineering, data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics communities.
  • Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, technical forums, and professional networks to identify high impact technologists and emerging talent.
  • Conduct detailed technical intake sessions with hiring managers to define required skills, architecture experience, and technology stack alignment.
  • Screen and evaluate candidates for technical capability, product mindset, and mission alignment.
  • Guide candidates through the recruiting lifecycle including interview coordination, candidate experience management, and offer negotiation.
  • Partner with hiring teams to ensure an efficient, data driven recruiting process that balances speed with quality.
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics including pipeline health, time to fill, and sourcing effectiveness to inform hiring strategy.
  • Ensure recruiting processes adhere to OFCCP compliance and federal contracting requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong networks of technical talent pipelines aligned with LMI's long term growth in AI, digital engineering, and platform development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Marketing, or related technical field preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of recruiting experience with a focus on technical, engineering, or products.
  • Expert in recruiting for software engineering, full stack development, cloud engineering, data science, machine learning, or AI related roles.
  • Prior experience supporting technology organizations, digital product teams, or engineering organizations within consulting, defense technology, or commercial tech environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern technology stacks including cloud platforms, distributed systems, microservices architectures, data platforms, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and attract passive technical candidates across competitive talent markets.
  • Experience supporting recruiting efforts within government contracting, national security technology, or federal consulting environments is preferred.
  • Understanding of OFCCP compliance and federal hiring requirements.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple technical requisitions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality hiring outcomes.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to technical leaders and hiring managers.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems; iCIMS experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and candidate engagement skills with the ability to effectively represent LMI's technology mission to top talent.
