Job Posting Title Manufacturing Technician - 2nd ShiftJob Description Summary Oxford Forge, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician for our 2nd shift operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient production of high-quality forged components, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining equipment. Must be able to work the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 PM)Job Description: * Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment and machinery, including presses, furnaces, and finishing tools, according to established procedures. * Perform routine quality checks on in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and identify any defects. * Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to set up machinery and complete production tasks accurately. * Load and unload materials and components onto production lines, ensuring proper handling and storage. * Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. * Record production data, including quantities, rejected parts, and equipment performance, accurately and in a timely manner. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all 5S principles and safety regulations. * Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve issues. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). * Assist with inventory management and material handling as needed. Required Skills and Education Education/Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with experience operating heavy machinery. Skills and Abilities: * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints and work instructions. * Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring. * Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and stand for extended periods. *Capable of working in mild to hot conditions. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
