Role Summary

Rivian is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Production Control and Warehousing Systems to join our Supply Chain Execution team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the transformation of our operations by optimizing efficiency and system integration across SAP S/4HANA, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Quality Management (QM). You will be responsible for driving high-impact process improvements and ensuring our custom-built solutions scale with our production needs. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Execution Process & Systems onsite at our facility in Normal, IL.

*** This position will be based out of Normal, IL. The ideal candidate will be open to relocating to Georgia once our plant opens outside of Atlanta in 2028. ***


Responsibilities

  • Program & Project Management: Lead the end-to-end implementation and continuous improvement of production control and warehousing systems, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting strict timelines and quality standards.
  • Error Management (COGI): Lead the monitoring and resolution of COGI (Postprocessing of Goods Movements) errors to ensure real-time inventory accuracy and prevent manufacturing delays.
  • Inventory Control (Overmax): Develop and manage strategies to handle Overmax situations, ensuring warehouse capacity is optimized and system constraints are respected during high-volume periods.
  • System Transformation: Drive process and system transformations within SAP S/4HANA EWM and QM to ensure seamless integration across the manufacturing landscape.
  • Root Cause & Optimization: Identify operational bottlenecks and system gaps; perform deep-dive root cause analysis to implement long-term technical and process-based solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design technical solutions that enhance automation and operational efficiency.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert support to the team in the configuration, customization, and enhancement of SAP EWM, and in-house Pull system, and YMS platforms.
  • Strategic Growth: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Rivian's warehousing systems remain world-class.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA or Master's preferred) or combination of experience/education.
  • Experience: 6+ years in Supply Chain operations or transformation, with at least 3 years of experience leading salaried employees.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (specifically EWM and QM) and a track record of delivering I.T. solutions to warehousing customers.
  • Program Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale programs, including setting and achieving KPIs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis and process optimization.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain processes (Automotive industry experience preferred).
  • Logistics: Must be able to travel up to 25% and work flexible hours (nights/weekends) as needed to support production.

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $125,800 - $157,200 for Illinois based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
