Join our team as a Maintenance Technician at Tucson House!

Gorman & Company is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep Tucson House, our 360-unit affordable housing high-rise community, running smoothly and looking its best. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining safe, comfortable homes for our residents while supporting the overall operations of one of Tucson's largest affordable housing communities. If you take pride in solving problems, working with your hands, and delivering great service to residents, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform daily maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building systems.

  • Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and on-call emergencies.

  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing unit turns and make-ready tasks.

  • Conduct daily property walks and inspections to maintain safety, curb appeal, and cleanliness.

  • Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and pool areas.

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.

  • Support seasonal property needs and ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are properly maintained.

What You'll Bring

  • At least one year of property maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade experience.

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

  • HVAC EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and participate in an on-call rotation.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay between $18-$21/hour based on experience.
