Description

    Analyzing, evaluating and integrating solutions to complex technical problems, based on broad objectives from management and customers
  • Encouraging optimum design within customer specifications, quality standards, schedule and funding limitations
  • Assisting in formulating engineering project requirements to meet the customer's needs and deadlines
  • Developing detailed implementation plans to execute and meet project requirements
  • Working closely with project management, hardware engineering, communications engineering, configuration management, quality assurance and operations support to ensure proper integration of software engineering with the other disciplines involved in the project
  • Designing, implementing, testing, and deploying software projects
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring, direction and assistance to other engineering team members
  • Reviewing modifications to system software to ensure compatibility with existing hardware and software
  • Soliciting and documenting detailed product requirements
  • Writing technical data packages in support of software development or modifications
  • Attending and facilitates meetings as required
  • Performing other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, or in an IT field
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting:
    • Programming languages or framework, including Java, C, C++, Python, or JavaScript
    • Software application testing (all)
  • Thorough understanding systems development life cycle methodologies (SDLC), such as Agile, SAFe, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance


Desired Skills

  • Experience with US Navy application development processes, networks, systems, and applications
  • Cloud platforms and operating systems
  • Database engineering experience, including SQL or Oracle
  • Hands on experience with enterprise DevOps or DevSecOps

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
