Overview

Dispatcher I will ensure the smooth operation of logistics dispatch services. This role is responsible for tracking and monitoring vehicle movements related to product pick-ups and deliveries, maintaining timely communication, and assisting with appointment scheduling. The Dispatcher I actively monitors shipments, addresses issues as they arise, and keeps accurate records of all activities, communications, and milestones. This role provides essential administrative support to the dispatch operation, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.


Responsibilities

    Monitor daily order progress and communicate delays in real time to AIT's teams and clients, while assisting with scheduling appointments and resolving issues through ticket reassignment or escalation.
  • Dispatch and track schedules of vehicles to appropriate locations according to AIT's needs.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and agents, providing timely status updates and ensuring smooth coordination.
  • Handle inbound calls and respond to internal chat and email inquiries related to shipments and services, ensuring timely issue resolution and effective communication.
  • Conduct daily roll calls for same-day and next-day confirmations to ensure delivery readiness.
  • Proactively contact customers to schedule, confirm, or reschedule delivery and service appointments, and follow up as needed to ensure successful coordination.
  • Ensure all same-day shipments are accurately marked as completed in the system and promptly communicate any order changes or updates to clients, agents, and drivers.
  • Audit the system to ensure photo capture is completed upon order completion and assess the quality of submitted photos.
  • Document and maintain records of customer requests, services performed, and other dispatch-related information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • The wage range for this position is $23.60-$33.40 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience


Qualifications

Education
* High School Diploma or GED or GED (Required) and
* Some College/Associate's Degree or Higher (Preferred)

Experience
* 1+ years Home Delivery, Final Mile or Logistics Industry experience (Required) and
* 1+ years Customer service, Call Center or Retail Experience (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Medium
* Strong multi-tasking, communication and coordination skills with high attention to detail. Medium
* Highly self-motivated with strong accountability, consistency and follow-through skills. Medium
* Ability to problem solve and work autonomously with little supervision. Medium
* Ability to excel in high pressure environment with short lead times. Medium
* Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn various systems. Medium
