The Driveline and Castings Purchasing Director is primarily responsible for driving commercial, and global strategy, risk mitigation and managing supplier relationships globally and supporting sourcing decisions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Commodity Strategy (SFG & COMMS): Contribute to the approval and implementation of the commodity strategy into a project/program. Provide necessary information and contributions as needed
  • RFQs (inc. MoB): Support the approval process of RFQs. Participate in Sourcing Tables and provide necessary information and contributions as needed
  • Contract Execution (Supply & Quality): Act as the decision maker for regional claims (Amadeus, chargebacks). Lead crisis management from a purchasing perspective, supporting other functions. Responsible for regional performance and in charge of regional claims management
  • Commercial Performance Plan (including claims): Negotiate with suppliers and support the regional commodity manager in regional negotiations. Accountable for Regional Performance and in charge of Claim regional claims management
  • Supplier Risk Management: Identify and manage risks. Act as the Purchasing point of contact for Regional execution in crisis management, supporting and in coordination with SRM (lead)
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Prepare Business Reviews, Exec Summary, NBH/SBM. Manage regional supplier relationship and support the regional commodity manager with inputs from the region
  • Admin Tasks: Validate workflow according to the DOA (claims)
  • Act in the capacity of a GSPC Leader within the Region, including leading team in region, coordination of HR activities, and communicating the Stellantis leadership messages to internal and external stakeholders within the region.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in business and/or engineering
  • Commodity purchasing experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to resolve conflict situations
  • Proven experience managing and negotiating contracts and have a strong understanding of contract law
  • Effective listener and ability to build relationships in cross functional groups
  • Ability to coach and manage both the buyers and the supply base and drive timely resolution of open issues
  • Proven ability to manage people and lead global/multicultural teams
  • Ability to cultivate internal and external relationships and earning trust
  • Demonstrated the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Proven leader with the ability to inspire others and build strong relationships
