A Plant Scheduler in Villa Rica, GA, has the primary responsibility to coordinate and optimize production processes within the plant. The Plant Scheduler is responsible for developing schedules, managing resources, and ensuring that products are manufactured and delivered on time, while also identifying and providing possible solutions to identified problems. Core Responsibilities:
  • Work with production orders to create an effective and efficient press schedule to meet customer requirements and optimize manufacturing efficiencies

  • Commit to the initial have-ready date requirements

  • Communicate with CDA's to best meet customer needs

  • Optimize efficiencies in individual machine schedules and meet the needs of the downstream operations and customer requirements

  • Confirm graphics and raw materials are available to support the press schedule

  • Publish and communicate production schedules

  • Coordinate schedules daily with other associates as well as the appropriate support groups

  • Investigate why orders are produced short or over

  • Collaborate with others to ensure that material is available for customer releases

  • Work with the Planner Analyst to minimize aged raw material inventory levels

Minimum Requirements:
  • Demonstrates the understanding of technical flexible packaging manufacturing processes, including in-depth knowledge of lamination, printing, and slitting operations and equipment, with proven ability to optimize process parameters and troubleshoot complex production challenges

  • Exceptional Written and oral communication

  • Active listening and being open to making accommodations

  • Ability to work within a scheduling database

  • Organization and logistics

  • Attention to detail

  • Problem-solving and multitasking

  • Efficient data entry/typing skills

  • Proficient in working in Excel and manufacturing software applications

Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficient in advanced Excel features, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, data grouping, creating relationships between multiple tables, advanced IF functions (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, AVERAGEIFS), and data visualization tools.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
