Position Summary
The position is responsible for creating and promoting the university-wide initiatives, projects, and events coordinated through the Office of the Registrar. This includes producing content and communications to be distributed online, including websites and via email as well as collaborating with the Associate Registrar for Finance, Faculty Governance, and Communications on communication strategies for the Office of the Registrar. The position drafts communications to the campus and within the office on matters related to the Office of the Registrar, including messaging for high-profile implementations and enhancements for Office of the Registrar-related systems, as well as internal meetings, trainings, and events. The position attends meetings related to communications within the office and on campus. The position provides feedback and guidance on communication strategies and is involved in crafting timelines related to communications for the office. The position collaborates on communication duties related to undergraduate commencement. The position additionally provides feedback and guidance on purchasing promotional materials for the Office of the Registrar programs and initiatives. The position serves as the lead on staff development and coordinates engagement for opportunities for employees within the office. The position has a significant level of autonomy, judgement, and independence, and is relied upon to use creativity, originality, and strategic thinking when creating content to be released on behalf of the Office of the Registrar.

Create Communication Content and Provide Communication Strategies for the Office of the Registrar

  • Create communications for the Office of the Registrar using creativity, originality, and strategic thinking, including emails, digital posters, newsletters, slides, flyers, etc., concerning university-wide initiatives, projects, and events coordinated through the Office of the Registrar.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Registrar for Finance, Faculty Governance, and Communications on communication strategies for the Office of the Registrar.
  • Represent the Office of the Registrar in UGA communication meetings on campus.
  • Create training materials, including user guides and tutorials, for campus users related to new initiatives, upgrades, and projects related to the Office of the Registrar.
  • Craft communication timelines related to Office of the Registrar-related implementations in collaboration with the Associate Registrar for Finance, Faculty Governance, and Communications, and other office leads.
  • Provide feedback and guidance on purchasing promotional materials for Office of the Registrar programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborate on communications related to undergraduate commencement.

  • Oversee the creation of social media postings related to the Office of the Registrar.
