Security Officer - Gate Control Driver Overnights

As a Security Officer - Gate Control Driver Overnights in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help manage entry points at a busy location by verifying credentials, greeting visitors, issuing badges, and documenting activity. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate concerns to site contacts to help support security-related operations and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, backed by a caring, agile, and integrity-driven team.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and/or contractor logs.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems as assigned, reporting irregular activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
