CDL Driver - Class B Charlotte, NC Pay : $24.00 per hour 26-02269 Position Overview The CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting materials safely and efficiently to job sites, construction locations, and residential building sites. This role involves operating an automatic flatbed and/or box truck, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule. The driver must follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, maintain proper documentation, and provide professional customer service during deliveries. This position may begin as temporary with the potential to become permanent based on performance. Job Responsibilities Operate an automatic flatbed and/or box truck to deliver materials to job sites, construction sites, and residential building locations Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and hand trucks Ensure materials are properly secured and within weight limits for safe transport Obtain customer signatures on delivery tickets and verify completed deliveries Communicate with supervisors throughout the day regarding delivery schedules and updates Pick up customer returns and confirm materials match return documentation Pick up local purchase orders and return packing lists to the warehouse Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies Fuel vehicles as required and report any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations to supervisors Maintain accountability for the Lytx onboard camera system while operating vehicles Assist with warehouse operations as needed Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer service Job Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Class A CDL accepted Minimum of one year of experience driving the applicable CDL vehicle class Ability to load and unload materials using pallet jacks and hand trucks Strong attention to safety and compliance with DOT regulations Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively #ZR
