| JOB SUMMARY |
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting a safe, compliant, and risk aware work environment. Oversees daily safety operations, conducts inspections, leads incident investigations, and ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. Partners with leadership and frontline teams to implement safety programs, deliver training, and promote a proactive safety culture. Tracks safety metrics, identifies trends, and recommends improvements to reduce hazards and prevent injuries.

| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- Completion of a safety management degree and 1-3 years of safety training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Electrical transmission & distribution experience preferred.
- Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
- The ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures is essential.
- Must have a safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through regular safety audits.
- Identify, document and recommend resolution of hazardous/potential hazardous conditions; follow through to insure corrections have been made.
- Investigate personal injury and property damage accidents.
- Compile data, photographs, etc.; prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, local regulations associated with accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions and activities.
- May accompany federal, state and insurance inspectors on walk through tours.
- Perform field new hire orientations and review associated paperwork.
- Coordinate, conduct, and document safety training of craft personnel as needed including first aid & CPR.
- Conduct work area inspections,
- Safely drive various vehicles. This position is required to drive.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
