About Vantage Data Centers

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects and connects the technology of the world's well-known hyperscalers, cloud providers and large enterprises. Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands.

Product Department

The Product team at Vantage defines and stewards our global product platform: the customer outcomes we aim to deliver, the reference designs and standards that make delivery repeatable, and the closed-loop learning that turns each deployment into an upgrade for the next. We do this in partnership with Engineering, Delivery, Operations, Sustainability, Sales, Site Selection, and Business Development, aligning priorities and trade-offs while preserving clear functional ownership for design execution, construction delivery, and site operations.Product'srole is to create clarity, consistency, and leverage atVantagescale.

Position overview

Vantage is building a platform-led approach to data center delivery: repeatable reference designs, governed variants, and a closed-loop learning system that turns each deployment into an upgrade for the next.

The Product Manager, Platform owns the shared infrastructure components that our data center products rely on, including common "base" elements such as shared foundation and civil standards, centralized primary and standby power generation, heat rejection, and medium-voltage power distribution.

This is a platform stewardship role with real product craft. You will ensure these shared components are clearly defined, versioned, and continuously improving so product teams (for example FLEX and FORGE), engineering subject matter experts, and regional deployment teams can adopt them at scale with confidence.

What you'll do

  • Own the day-to-day health and evolution of assigned shared platform component domains, including definitions, interfaces, and versioning.

  • Maintain platform artefacts such as reference definitions, interface expectations, standards and approved variants, decision logs, and release notes.

  • Drive clarity on what is standard vs approved variant vs exception, and coordinate component-level changes so updates are intentional and decision-ready.

  • Partner with product teams and engineering experts to align shared platform decisions with downstream product releases and to reduce integration risk during commissioning and operations.

  • Convert field learnings from deployment, commissioning, and operations into prioritised platform improvements with clear problem statements, options, and decision asks.

  • Track platform component health and adoption outcomes (for example adoption rate, deviation rate and time-to-close, repeat issues, deployment friction) in partnership with Product Performance and Operations.

What success looks like

  • Shared platform components are trusted, current, and consistently adopted across products and regions.

  • Interfaces are clear, deviations reduce over time, and issues are resolved faster with less late-stage surprise.

  • Field signals reliably translate into platform improvements, improving outcomes release after release.

  • FLEX, FORGE, and future product teams move faster because shared platform decisions are decision-ready and durable.

What we're looking for

  • 6-10+ years in product management, platform product management, or adjacent technical leadership roles in complex infrastructure or industrial systems.

  • Strong systems-level fluency in data center infrastructure domains (power generation and distribution, thermal systems, controls/telemetry, commissioning and handover considerations).

  • Demonstrated experience stewarding shared components, standards, and artefacts with strong governance and version discipline.

  • Ability to translate technical complexity into clear product definitions, trade-offs, and decision-ready artefacts.

  • Strong written communication, stakeholder leadership, and the ability to influence in a matrixed environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in hyperscale or mission-critical environments, including commissioning and operational handover realities.

  • Experience working in a standards-and-variants model and converting field learnings into repeatable platform improvements.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $160,000 - $170,000+ Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend ona number offactors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
